CJJC is RUNNING for a JUST OAKLAND
Wednesday, 10 March 2010 16:05

uf_logo_webOn March 28th, 2010, Oakland will host its first marathon in 25 years. Causa Justa :: Just Cause is honored to take part in this historic event and celebrate Oakland’s rich history of community resistance in the Fruitvale, Chinatown, and West Oakland neighborhoods. We have more than 30 runners on our team who plan to run the marathon, half-marathon and 5K to support our fight for economic and racial justice.

This run is both about celebrating Oakland and supporting our fight for a just Oakland and beyond. It is part of our Unity Fund, a 1-year grassroots fund-raising effort, to support our massive undertaking of merging Just Cause Oakland and St. Peter's Housing Committee and becoming a fierce organization that brings together African-American and Latino membership from both sides of the Bay. If you are interested in sponsoring one of the CJJC runners, please visit their profile pages at: www.firstgiving.com/cjjcteam

Please look out for a forthcoming announcement on joining us to cheer the runners at our CJJC water stop.
