| Run Like The Wind: CJJC Sweats it Out at Oakland Marathon |
|
The CJJC All-Star Runners’ Team made an incredible show of sweaty, justice-loving athleticism at the Oakland Running Festival March 26-27, 2011!
The Marathon drew some 7300 runners from 35 states and six countries. With your support and encouragement, all 35 Causa Justa :: Just Cause runners crossed the finish line high on endorphins and smiling ear-to-ear! Plus, thanks to many generous contributions, we raised over $7,500 to sustain CJJC’s work building community leadership to achieve housing and immigrant justice for low-income San Francisco and Oakland residents! We have uploaded the photos from the weekend - you can check them out on our website here. One of our youngest runners— 3-year-old Camilo, raised $300 and made frontpage news! Read about it here.
